Bugs[edit | edit source]

This section contains bugs related to Bound Dagger (Dragonborn). Before adding a bug to this list, consider the following:

  1. Please reload an old save to confirm if the bug is still happening.
  2. If the bug is still occurring, please post the bug report with the appropriate system template  360  / XB1  ,  PS3  / PS4  ,  PC  / MAC  ,  NX  , depending on which platform(s) the bug has been encountered on.
  3. Be descriptive when listing the bug and fixes, but avoid having conversations in the description and/or using first-person anecdotes: such discussions belong on the appropriate forum board.
  • Unlike the silent swings from regular daggers, attacks with bound dagger are "noisy," causing the striker to be spotted when sneaking if the dagger is swung, regardless if the attack hits or misses.
  • If dual cast so that one bound dagger is in each hand, using a dual wield power attack will not use the normal dual dagger animation. Instead, the regular spinning dual power attack will take place.
  •  PC   Attempting to use this spell in one hand or the other (or both) may cause an instant game crash. This issue and an in-game solution to prevent this from happening is discussed in this forum.
  •  PC   While casting this spell, a normally-colored Daedric dagger may materialize instead of an aetheral one. The issue is purely aesthetic and does not currently have a known solution.
