Breaking the Barrier is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls Online.

Background[]

Firsthold is under assault by High Kinlady Estre. The First Auridon Marines have arrived to try and save the city, but the city is overrun with Daedra and the castle proper is surrounded by a magical barrier.

Razum-dar has asked me to travel to Firsthold to see what High Kinlady Estre, the Veiled Queen, plans for the city.

Quick walkthrough[]

  1. Speak to Battlereeve Urcelmo.
  2. Speak to Sinien.
  3. Use the Runed Talisman on the Wards.
  4. Speak to Razum-dar.

Walkthrough[]

The Vestige should speak to Razum-dar in Skywatch Manor. He tells them that High Kinlady Estre is headed to city of Firsthold to attack the Rilis family. Battlereeve Urcelmo is already on his way there and the Vestige should speak to him.

Before the Vestige could get into the city, Curime tells him that the city is under siege and to turn back to the main road, but after letting her know the Vestige is with Razum-dar, she is relieved and lets them proceed.

The Vestige has to fight their way to Mages guildhall where Battlereeve Urcelmo is holed up. After reaching the hall, Battlereeve Urcelmo reveals that Estre has put up a powerful magical barrier around the castle. The barrier is powered by 2 wards which have to be destroyed in order for the barrier to break and Sinien, the Mages Guild member, has a plan.

In order to destroy the wards, Sinien gives the Vestige a runed talisman, which they have to focus towards the wards so the ritual Sinien has prepared would destroy them. One of the wards is located in the east part of the city, the other in the west. Considering it takes a moment or two for the talisman to focus enough energy to destroy the ward, the Vestige should first clear out the Daedra guarding it.

After successfully destroying the wards, the Vestige should speak to Razum-dar in front of the castle. The Vestige will receive a reward of 168 Gold.

Reward[]

  • 73–302 Gold
