For other uses, see Brithaur.

Brithaur is a side quest in The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles. Earil wants Brithaur gone because he keeps stealing from the shops in New Sheoth. He asks for the Hero's help to deal with him.

Walkthrough[edit | edit source]

After getting the actual quest by speaking to the store owner Earil who wants him gone, speak to Brithaur and sweet talk him. After this, either kill him in any way (in a sneaky manner or anger the guards), or collect 5 Flawless Pearls and give them to him.

One can also speak to the Redguard in the court of Dementia (if one's standing in the Shivering Isles is reasonably high) who will throw Brithaur in the dungeons of Dementia.

Note worthy, there is a bonus if Brithaur is killed. Usually, if one wants to obtain it and not be accused of murder, cast a frenzy spell on Brithaur in which he will be aggressive and, as a result, will be overpowered and perish. Then, his corpse can be looted for a good sum of gold and his heart. Taking the organ to Earil will reward a leveled amount of gold.

Journal[edit | edit source]

Journal Entry
  • Update: After hearing about Brithaur:

I´ve heard that Earil has a problem with Brithaur, and wants something done about it. I should go and speak to him about it.

  • Update: After talking about Earil:

Earil has offered me a reward if I can ´get rid´ of Brithaur. I´ll need to find a way to get Brithaur to stop stealing from the shops in New Sheoth. Before I make any hasty decisions, perhaps I should speak with Brithaur.

  • Update: After talking to Brithaur:

Brithaur has refused to stop his crime spree because his "collection" isn´t complete. I may be able to use this to my advantage. I need to bring five Flawless Pearls to him. Otherwise, I may have to seek more creative or violent means to obtain Earil´s reward.

  • Update: After killing Brithaur:

Brithaur is dead. I should tell Earil that he is no longer a problem.

  • Update: After talking to Earil again:

Earil thanked me for taking care of Brithaur, and has given me a reward.

  • Quest complete
