Template:SkyrimNPCs Chief Burguk is an Orsimer, in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. He is the chief of Dushnikh Yal, the Orc Stronghold located south-east of Markarth and brother to possible follower Ghorbash the Iron Hand.
He became the leader here after he had slain his father in single combat because he was too old and weak to rule the tribe any longer. Burguk states that one day his own son will challenge and defeat him when the time comes. The orcs who reside in the strongholds have this custom in order to ensure that the leader is a strong and worthy one.
Being the Chief, he is the only Orc in Dushnikh Yal and the nearby mine, that is allowed to have one or more wives and to have children with them. He is the most respected member in the orc community.
If the Dragonborn isn't an Orsimer, once they have retrieved The Forgemaster's Fingers for the stronghold Chief Burguk will name them blood-kin of the Orcs and offers Master-level training in One-Handed weapons.
If the Dragonborn asks him for work he will challenge them to a brawl with a bet of 100 Gold. Whoever wins will receive 200 gold.
- When brawling with him, he may run flee to a different part of the camp out of sight. If the Dragonborn can catch up to him it will be a normal fight and he will use weapons. No one else will interfere and if not careful he will be killed during the brawl. If killed, the other orcs will act as if they do not know how he was killed, no bounty or hostility will be acquired.
- Dialog option to train in One-Handed may disappear.
