Chitin Armor is a piece of light armor and part of the Chitin armor set found in The Elder Scrolls V: Dragonborn.

Locations

This armor piece can only be found on the island of Solstheim. Locations include:

• Sold by Glover Mallory in Raven Rock.
• Found as random loot in chests or as a world item.
• Worn by reavers.

Smithing

Chitin Armor requires a Smithing level of 30 and the Elven Smithing perk to create. Pieces can be forged at a blacksmith's forge with the following components:

• 2 × Netch Leather
• 1 × Iron Ingot
• 5 × Chitin Plate

It can be upgraded with a chitin plate at a workbench and also benefit from the Elven Smithing perk, which doubles the improvement.
