Chitin Heavy Armor is a piece of heavy armor and part of the chitin heavy armor set found in The Elder Scrolls V: Dragonborn.
Locations
This armor piece can only be found on the island of Solstheim. Locations include:
- Can be bought from Glover Mallory in Raven Rock.
- Found as random loot in chests or as a world item.
- Worn by reavers.
- Worn by Vendil Severin (except for the helmet) during the quest Served Cold.
Smithing
Chitin Heavy Armor requires a Smithing level of 30 and the Elven Smithing perk to create. It can be forged at a blacksmith's forge with the following components:
- 2 × Netch Leather
- 1 × Corundum Ingot
- 6 × Chitin Plate
It can be upgraded with a chitin plate at a workbench and also benefits from the Elven Smithing perk, which doubles the improvement.
