"The Paladin's Blade is an ancient claymore with offensive capabilities surpassed only by its own defenses. It lends the wielder health, protects him or her from fire, and reflects any spells cast against the wielder back to the caster. Seldom has Chrysamere been wielded by any bladesman for any length of time, for it chooses not to favor one champion"
Yagrum Bagarn[src]

The Chrysamere is a claymore that has been lost to time after jumping from one owner to another. In The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, the blade rests in a Necromancer's cave named Abanabi. The Nerevarine may travel there and kill the current owner for the weapon.

Quests[edit | edit source]

Lord's Mail[edit | edit source]

Once the Nerevarine reaches the rank of Knight Protector in the Legion, Varus Vantinius will ask to retrieve the Chysamere in order to become Knight of the Garland.

The Museum TR[edit | edit source]

The Chysamere is one of the artifacts the Nerevarine may sell to Torasa Aram at the Museum of Artifacts in Mournhold. She offers them 30,000 Gold for it, which is the maximum of gold she will spend for one item.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The Chrysamere has the highest stock damage of any two-handed longsword in Morrowind on a chop at max power, at 70 damage, without factoring in enchantments on other blades.
