Companion's Insight is an ability found in The Elder Scrolls V: Dragonborn.

Acquisition[edit | edit source]

It is one of three possible abilities gained from the quest "Black Book: The Winds of Change."

Effect[edit | edit source]

"Your attacks, shouts, and destruction spells do no damage to your followers when in combat."

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Followers will still react accordingly if damage is taken from area of effect spells or shouts such as Storm Call or Chain Lightning.
  • Follower's thralls are not protected.
  • Followers can still be damaged by attacks, spells, and shouts if there are no nearby enemies.
  • If the instant kill effect of Mehrunes' Razor activates on hitting a follower, it will still kill them unless they are marked as essential.

  1. Please reload an old save to confirm if the bug is still happening.

  3. Be descriptive when listing the bug and fixes, but avoid having conversations in the description and/or using first-person anecdotes: such discussions belong on the appropriate forum board.
  •  PC   360   PS3   Companion's Insight may not work properly with Serana and other followers.
  •  PC   Undead followers may still be hurt by Dawnbreaker's explosions.
  •  PC   Followers may still be wounded from Storm Call, Chain Lightning, Wall of StormsUnrelenting Force, etc.
