History[]

First Era[]

Corinthe's Grand Archive was burned by Merrunz cultists in 1E 463, which resulted in the destruction of most of the city's records dating back to the Merethic Era.[2]

Second Era[]

Corinthe was affected by the Knahaten Flu along with the rest of Elsweyr. Clan Mother Mizaba-ko of Corinthe was the first to identify how the flu spread from Khajiit to Khajiit.[3]

In 2E 582, a wizard named Mora'at has been researching the Theory of Lightning Magic. As he describes it "A Shock spell channels and manipulates magicka through the local warp and weft of the tapestry, agitating its fibers. This generates sparking, which coalesces into magical lightning."[4]

Third Era[]

Main article: Corinth
"Corinth, heart of the Province Elsweyr, greets our weary brethren..."
―Description in Arena[src]

During the Imperial Simulacrum, the Eternal Champion had visited the city of Corinth looking for a piece of the Staff of Chaos in Elsweyr. They arrived at the local Mages Guild where they met Loremaster Turamane ap'Kolthis. He asked the champion if they could retrieve a tablet from the Temple of Agamanus in exchange for information. After getting the tablet, Turamane points the champion at The Halls of Colossus where they eventually found the next piece.[5]

Fourth Era[]

In 4E 188, the Dark Brotherhood chapter in Corinthe had been closed by order of the Black Hand. Members of the Corinthe Sanctuary had to be moved to the Cheydinhal Sanctuary in Cyrodiil. By 4E 189, Cheydinhal erupted into violence and crime like many other cities. Many members of the Cheydinhal chapter eventually died out until in 4E 200, the last member of the sanctuary fled to the sanctuary in Falkreath Hold, Skyrim.[6][7]
