Main article: Creatures

The following is a list and description of creatures found in The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles.

Baliwog[edit | edit source]

The Baliwog is a predatory, amphibious creature that dwells in the lakes, rivers, and bogs of the Shivering Isles; they are most prevalent between New Sheoth and the Gates of Madness.

Elytra[edit | edit source]

The Elytra are large insect-like creatures indigenous to much of the Isles.

Flesh Atronach[edit | edit source]

The Flesh Atronach appears as a sewn-together conglomeration of skin and muscle adorned with mystical symbols and wearing an iron collar. A prime example of this is the Gatekeeper, an enormous Flesh Atronach.

Gnarl[edit | edit source]

Gnarls are large Ent-like creatures that use Magic and physical force as their primary attack.

Grummite[edit | edit source]

Grummites are one of the most common enemies in the Shivering Isles, akin to Goblins in Cyrodiil, and perhaps Baliwogs in the Shivering Isles. Despite the fact that Grummites are common, the citizens of the Shivering Isles know very little about them.

Hunger[edit | edit source]

If any creature represents the darker side of Sheogorath, it's the Hunger. These are pure-born Daedric creatures placed on the Isles as servitors and guards. The Hunger is not to be trifled with; it boasts superior speed and lightning reflexes along with its primary ability of draining its victim's fatigue.

Knight of Order[edit | edit source]

Knights of Order are Daedra who serve the Daedric Prince Jyggalag.

Scalon[edit | edit source]

Another aquatic native of the Shivering Isles, is the Scalon. Looking strikingly similar to an upright Baliwog, the Scalon features large fin-laden appendages and dorsal spines. These creatures are usually quite fearsome, lumbering slowly after its prey.

Shambles[edit | edit source]

The Shambles appears to be some sort of an undead construct made of bone and lashed together with wire or bits of cloth. Oddly, the bones used in their makeup appear to have no correlation to one another. They might have skulls for kneecaps or leg bones for arms, to cite a few examples. The Shambles may be undead, but they pursue any victim as if they were a predator chasing down its prey.

Skinned Hound[edit | edit source]

These undead creatures are generally encountered inside and around the ruins that are found throughout the Shivering Isles. The Skinned Hound is extremely fast and agile. Like the Flesh Atronach, it appears to be composed of skin and muscle that is roughly sewn together, but it is uncertain whether they are summoned like Daedra or merely constructed.
