Crown of Barenziah, also known as Barenziahs Crown[1], is a quest item and one of the Thieves Guild Trophies.
Quests[]
No Stone Unturned[]
After finding all twenty-four Stones of Barenziah for Vex as part of the quest, the Dragonborn is asked to recover the Crown of Barenziah from Tolvald's Cave.
Vex reveals that the Crown of Barenziah is actually a paragon for the Thieves Guild. Recovering the crown restores the paragon to its full status. The fully restored Crown of Barenziah then sits on the mannequin bust in The Ragged Flagon - Cistern.
Reward[]
Once restored, the Dragonborn receives the passive power Prowler's Profit. This increases the rate at which the Dragonborn finds precious gems in any container, including Draugr bodies.
Trivia[]
- It is impossible to equip the crown. When on its bust, the Crown only offers an "Activate" option which does nothing.
- The crown has twenty-five gems, but only twenty-four can be collected, as there is one gem that remained on the crown.
- In all three of Barenziah's appearances within the series, she is never seen wearing the crown. During her first appearance in The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, she is seen wearing a circlet that has a similar likeness to the crown. In The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal, she is seen wearing a tiara that bears no resemblance, whatsoever, to the crown seen in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. In The Elder Scrolls: Legends, she is depicted wearing a simple hairband.
- Barenziah was the Queen of Morrowind, and Tiber Septim's former lover.[2]
