- For other uses, see Daedric Crescent.
Daedric Crescent is a unique two-handed Daedric weapon in the possession of Dremora Lord Dregas Volar at Magas Volar. Its crescent shape is typical of symbols found in Daedric ruins throughout Vvardenfell. This long blade is enchanted to inflict paralysis while simultaneously damaging an adversary's armor.
Enchantment[]
Enchantment ID: Crescent Moon
Both magic effects are cast when strikes on touch:
- Disintegrate Armor – 5–30 points
- Paralyze – 10 seconds
Acquisition[]
- "Probably the most rare and even outlawed item of all the great prizes is the Daedric Crescent Blade. The Blade was used by Mehrunes Dagon's Daedric forces in the capture of the Imperial Battlespire. These extremely unique Blades were gathered up and destroyed after the Battlespire was recaptured by the Empire. All but one it seems. Though the Empire believes them all to be destroyed, it is rumored that one still remains in existence, somewhere in Tamriel, though none have ever seen it. The Blade lends wielder the ability to do great damage on an enemy and allows him to paralyze and put heavy wear on his enemy's armor. Quite the prize for any mighty warrior, if it does indeed exist."
- ―Yagrum Bagarn, Tamrielic Lore [src]
To obtain this blade the Nerevarine must travel to Tel Fyr. In the study at the Hall of Fyr, there is a Small Ornate Lockbox (lock level 100) next to Divayth Fyr containing a Daedric Sanctuary Amulet. When the amulet is equipped, the Nerevarine is teleported to Magas Volar. Lord Dregas Volar must be killed to obtain this weapon; following his death, the Nerevarine is returned to Tel Fyr and the Daedric Crescent is automatically added to the Nerevarine's inventory.
It is possible to receive two Daedric Crescents by casting Mark during the fight, then quickly Recall to teleport back following the battle. After retrieving the second Crescent from Dregas Volar's remains, use Almsivi Intervention or Divine Intervention to escape. Note: Almsivi and Divine Intervention do not work at Magas Volar in the Game of the Year edition.
Trivia[]
- Lord Dregas Volar is also known to possess the Crescent Dagger and the Crescent Staff.[1]
Bugs[]
This section contains bugs related to Daedric Crescent (Morrowind). Before adding a bug to this list, consider the following:
|
- Once the Nerevarine kills Lord Dregas Volar, if they're quick enough a second Daedric Crescent can be looted from its ashes without needing to use the Mark and Recall exploit. Along with that a Daedra Heart and unique amulet can also be looted. Upon their return they will now find 2 Daedric Crescents are present in their inventory.
- The unique amulet looted from Lord Dregas Volar is called 'Tel Fyr amulet', with its own description that suggests at some point it was intended to be looted by the Nerevarine. Instead when attempting to use it the same text box for the Daedric Sanctuary Amulet will appear, however this will lock up your game, forcing you to quit the application.
- The Nerevarine may be unable to teleport to Magas Volar when equipping the Daedric Sanctuary Amulet, preventing acquisition of the Daedric Crescent.
- This can typically be fixed by simply exiting the game and restarting it.
- PC If necessary, the Nerevarine can be transported to Magas Volar by using the console command:
coc "Magas Volar"
