Nelrene

A common female Dark Seducer in The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles.

For the beverage, see Dark Seducer (Item).

The Dark Seducers or Mazken[1] are humanoid Daedra that serve the Daedric Prince Sheogorath and guard Dementia in the Shivering Isles.

By game[]

Physical appearance[]

Dark Seducers are gray-skinned, dark-haired, humanoid Daedra. Males wear black armor, while females wear a more scantily clad version of it.[2]

Behavior[]

TESIV SI Banner Seducer

Dark Seducers, unlike their Golden Saint counterparts, are more tolerant of the mortal races, as they often say "Mad God's blessings" when parting and are considered kinder than the Golden Saints.[3] They are sworn rivals of the Golden Saints and sometimes even clash at the sight of each other.[4]

Culture[]

Males in Dark Seducer society, just like the Golden Saints, are often looked down upon, and even the males view themselves as lesser than the females. The origin of this practice is unknown.[5] In terms of beliefs, nothing is more sacred then the Wellspring of the Mazken. This well sends dead Mazken souls back to the well to be revived.[6]

Combat[]

In battle, Dark Seducers fight with a variety of weapons such as axes and swords, and are able to use some destruction spells.[7]

However, the Dark Seducer will not say anything, and, if subtitles are enabled, the following text will be displayed, "I HAVE NO GREETING." This appears to be from where the developers did not add any dialogue to a certain event.
