Overview

Quest giver: Vicente Valtieri
Reward: Porphyric Hemophilia
Vicente Valtieri gives you Porphyric Hemophilia, or the Vampire Disease. If the player wants to become a full fledged vampire, just rest on his slab for a couple of days.
Note: If you continue with the Dark Brotherhood, once you are on The Purification (the first quest after Ocheeva gives you the special note from Lucien that tells you to go to Fort Farragut), you must kill Vicente, and that will also complete the quest. Also, if you ever do want to become a vampire, there are other methods of contracting Porphyric Hemophilia.
Glitches
Note: PS3 players of the GOTY edition will have to trick the game if they want to cure their Vampirism. Originally, the person who cures Vampirism at the Arcane University would not see the Bloodroot despite the player having the ingredient in their inventory. Before providing the materials to the lady at Arcane University, save the game then set your PS3 System Settings to German. Now provide the lady with all the required items, and the Bloodgrass will be highlighted in the discussion dialog. After she accepts all ingredients and says "thank you" in German, you may change your PS3 System Settings back to English. See Vampire Cure for more.
Warning: If you killed Hides His Heart in the previous quest, Vicente will NOT give you Porphyric Hemophilia.
