Deadlands is a location in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition that is a part of the Cause Creation Club content.

Description[]

The Deadlands in Creation Club look very much like The Deadlands past Oblivion Gates in Oblivion including the usual flora of bloodgrass, harrada (including the kind that attacks), and spiddal sticks which have the expected gas attack if approached too closely. These Deadlands also include rivers of lava, rectangular stone plank bridges, red tinted monuments in Oblivion style, tall towers with horned tops, Fleshy Pod and The Punished loot containers, and unlike Oblivion, ore deposits to be mined. There are also ground features that resemble the Soul Fissures of the Soul Cairn but cannot be harvested to fill soul gems.

Given the general hostility of the environment as compared to Skyrim even without active attackers such as Dremora, it can be a good place to level Restoration by being attacked by a plant or stepping briefly in lava, healing, and repeating.

Trivia[]

  • Harvesting a plant here will yield exactly one unit of component, unlike Oblivion where it is a random range starting at zero.
  • Flame atronachs summoned by dremora here do not disappear once killed and their bodies remain to be looted for fire salts.
  • Unlike Oblivion, the towers here are purely artistic. The Dragonborn cannot reach or enter them and there is no Sigil Stone to be obtained. A consequence of this is that the Oblivion Gate remains open and cannot be closed.
  • Firing arrows past or near harrada or spiddal sticks can trigger their attacks.

Notes[]

  1. The Deadlands themselves are considered to be within the realm of Oblivion.
