Eastmarch

Eastmarch

Eastmarch is one of the nine Holds of Skyrim. The major city of Eastmarch is Windhelm. Ulfric Stormcloak is the Jarl of Windhelm and Eastmarch.

The Dragonborn can receive the title "Thane of Eastmarch" upon completing a series of quests and buying the house Hjerim in Windhelm.

  • Gallows Rock — A single level fort occupied by the Silver Hand.
  • Morvunskar — A fort Located to the south-west of Windhelm, inhabited by mages.
  • Refugees' Rest — A tower guarded by animals in the far north-east of Skyrim close to the Morrowind border.
  • Abandoned Prison — A collapsed, partially flooded Imperial prison. It is inhabited by the ghosts of its drowned prisoners.
  • Fort Amol — A Stormcloak fort that has been overtaken by hostile mages. If you clear out the mages, the Stormcloaks will return to the fort.
  • Mistwatch — A fort held by the Mistwatch Bandits as a base for kidnapping operations.
