Execute Durus Marius is a Morag Tong quest available in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. The Nerevarine must kill a leading member of the Dark Brotherhood.
Background[]
One of the Dark Brotherhood's bases is in Assernerairan, which is beneath St. Olms Canton here in Vivec City. I must honorably execute the leader, Durus Marius, and report back to Grandmaster Eno Hlaalu.
Objectives[]
- Talk to Eno Hlaalu at the Arena Canton in Vivec City.
- Travel to Assernerairan to kill Durus Marius.
- Find and kill Marius.
- Return to Eno Hlaalu.
Walkthrough[]
Upon returning the Ring of Sanguine Sublime Wisdom to Eno Hlaalu, he will inform the Nerevarine that a leader of the Dark Brotherhood, Durus Marius, is hiding out in a Daedric ruin called Assernerairan, located beneath St. Olms Canton. He will task you to kill Marius.
The Nerevarine should go to St. Olms Canton to access the entrance to the Daedric ruins in the underworks. There will be a guard posted outside who will attack the Nerevarine on sight. The shrine itself is a two-room dungeon with a large statue of Mehrunes Dagon and other hostiles, among whom is the target, Marius. There are four Threads of the Webspinner in the shrine: Relas Arothan will carry the Belt of Sanguine Balanced Armor and the Belt of Sanguine Deep Biting, and Marius will carry the Belt of Sanguine Hewing and the Belt of Sanguine Sureflight.
After Marius lies dead, the Nerevarine should return to Eno Hlaalu for a reward of 2,000 
and improved reputation with the Morag Tong and disposition from Eno Hlaalu.
