Falmer Armor is a unique heavy armor set in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It consists of a helmet, body armor, boots, gauntlets and shield.

Acquisition[]

Smithing[]

All pieces can be upgraded with Chaurus Chitin at a workbench.

Originally, the Steel Smithing perk would double the improvement, however, with the addition of Dawnguard this has been changed to the Advanced Armors perk. The helmet does not benefit from any Smithing perks.

Trivia[]

  • The Falmer Shield has a higher armor rating than the Dwarven Shield, despite the other Dwarven armors having higher ratings than the Falmer armor set.
  • Despite the Falmer Helmet having no eye slits, the Dragonborn and followers still see while wearing it.
    • This also applies to the heavy version of the armor.
  • The Shellbug Helmet is considered part of this armor set.
  • The Falmer Helmet can be worn alongside other particular pieces of headgear, specifically hoods, the Masque of Clavicus Vile or dragon priest masks.
