Fargrave, also known as the Celestial Palanquin, is a zone in The Elder Scrolls Online: Deadlands. It is a realm of Oblivion, not ruled by any Daedric Princes and houses a mixed community of both mortal and Daedric inhabitants.[1] Due to it not being within the domain of any Daedric Prince, the realm's liminal barriers are considered weak enough to be adjacent to all other planes and realms, making travel to and from easier than other realms.[2]
Background[]
- ""They say a place exists in Oblivion where the paths between planes are thin and easy to navigate. That no Prince rules this realm, and mortal and Daedra alike are free to do whatever they please. They call this place Fargrave."—Magister Therana"

Fargrave, although beyond the jurisdiction of any Daedric Prince or conventional government, is regulated under an agreement known as the Stricture. Although only Daedra are compelled by their nature to follow the rules of the Stricture, mortals are also expected to abide by it, and lawbreakers are punished under the authority of the Grasp.[3]
Fargrave was first discovered by mortals in 1E 1261 by the Imperial traders of House Hexos. Sometime later, House Hexos formed an agreement with the Dark Seducer Madam Whim and moved their entire enterprise from Tamriel to Fargrave, bringing along goods and services from the mortal realm.[4] Around Fargrave are four gargantuan skeletal remains known as the Bearers of Fargrave which mortals speculate are the detritus of four Daedric Princes that destroyed each other while fighting for domination over the realm; was a necropolis for massive beings; or that Fargrave was once carried by the Bearers across Oblivion.[5]

Quests[]

Fargrave features a series of zone story quests and unrelated side quests. The zone story quests are shared with Deadlands and tie into the Gates of Oblivion overarching storyline, carrying on from Blackwood. It is not necessary to complete the story quests for zones prior to those in Fargrave. Side quests are non-sequential and can be completed in any order, except where one carries on from another. Repeatable quests can be completed multiple times: weekly for arenas and trials and daily for all others.

Skyshards will appear on the map and compass when the Vestige is close to one and will remain discovered on the map even if it was not collected.
