- Not to be confused with Stamina.
Fatigue influences the player's effectiveness in combat. Reduced, or lack of, fatigue results in reduced accuracy and damage while fighting. Running, jumping, swimming, fighting, and casting spells can reduce fatigue. Fatigue can be restored through resting, spells, potions, or simply standing still.
Being struck by Hand-to-Hand attacks will also reduce fatigue. If fatigue is reduced to zero when the player is hit with a hand-to-hand attack, the player character is unable to attack and will fall to the ground.
In The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, fatigue is decreased by running or fighting and only regenerates while doing nothing. There are Restore Fatigue enchanted items though, to counter this.
- Formula: Fatigue capacity = Strength + Endurance + Agility + Willpower attributes
