Fiery Breath is a Dragonknight active skill in the Ardent Flame skill line in The Elder Scrolls Online.
Description
Deals 5% Flame Damage in a cone in front of them and ignite enemies for 12% Flame Damage over 8 Seconds. (Level 1)
Requirement
Unlocked at Ardent Flame rank 20.
Morphs
Burning Breath
- Update 1: Fixed an issue where this ability was doing less damage than intended.[1]
- Update 4: The armor reduction debuff from this ability will no longer stack.[2]
- Update 4: Fixed an issue where Burning Breath IV (morph of Fiery Breath) wasn't dealing damage over time as it should.[2]
- Update 6: Increased the damage over time effect applied to all ranks and morphs by approximately 30%.[3]
- Update 6: This ability will now scale off of stamina and weapon power, and is mitigated by your target's melee defense statistics. This ability now applies the Major Fracture debuff to your target.[3]
- Update 9: Fixed an issue where the Major Fracture debuff applied by this ability was shorter than the duration of the damage over time effect.[4]
Engulfing Flames
- Update 3: The tooltip for this ability now properly states that it deals increased damage per rank.[5]
- Update 6: Increased the damage over time effect applied to all ranks and morphs by approximately 30%.[3]
- Update 7: Fixed an issue where Battle Spirit was applying additively rather than multiplicatively to several abilities, including this ability.[6]

- Update 6: Adjusted the visual effects for this ability (and others) to improve client performance in Cyrodiil and Trials.[3]
