Walkthrough[]
Upon completing "The Enemy Within," Moramat will ask you to deal with Gargak. She will tell you that the bandit attacks are coming from the north, so that is the direction where you should start looking.
Head north of the stronghold and you will find a ruined Imperial tower. Gargak will be standing at the stairs; talk to him and he will tell you that he was supposed to be chief, but his brother challenged him to a duel for that position and cheated his way to victory.
After speaking to the Chief's brother, the Vestige will receive a choice: they can choose whether to tell them to challenge their brother to leadership of the Barkbite Clan, or to start a new clan where he is.
If the former option is chosen, [?]. If the latter option is chosen, you will be asked to investigate a nearby Abandoned Iron Mine. The mine is just southwest of Redfur Trading Post; by the entrance, you will find a copy of the lorebook Before the Ages of Man: Merethic Era, so be sure to pick that up. In the mine, you will meet with Gargak's ally Rakhaz; speak with her and she will tell you to go look for ore. You will find the ore you need on the far side of the mine, in an ore vein tucked away in the corner. Rakhaz will confirm that this is iron ore, and that it will do for Gargak's purposes.
Take the ore back to Gargak to finish the quest.
