Second Era[]

Main article: Firemoth (Online)

During the Interregnum in 2E 583, the island was inhabited by Dunmeri slavers who disregarded the Ebonheart Pact Alliance and the House Hlaalu Government in Seyda Neen. A member of the Morag Tong known as Naryu Virian was sent to Firemoth to assassinate the Captain of the Slavers, Captain Svadstar. She and an unnamed slave subsequently started a slave revolt on the island with the help of the Hlaalu Guard coming from Seyda Neen. Svadstar was assassinated by Virian on his ship while the Hlaalu Navy barraged their ship with siege weapons.[1]

Third Era[]

Main article: Firemoth (Morrowind)

In 3E 414, the Vvardenfell Territory along with surrounding islands such as Firemoth, Sheogorad, and the islands of the Zafirbel Bay became an Imperial Provincial District under the Septim Empire. While various settlements were being built on Vvardenfell, the Imperial Legion built a fort on the main island, the fort was known as Fort Firemoth, and it guarded the Inner Sea. It was eventually taken by Grurn and his undead army. A group of warriors was hired in 3E 427 to clean out Grurn's undead army from Firemoth and to retrieve the Ward of Akavir from the inner catacombs. In the end, the shield was recovered and Grurn was defeated.[2][3]
