Frozen Chaurus are creatures that appear in The Elder Scrolls V: Dawnguard. They are only found in the Inner Sanctum of Auri-El's temple in the Forgotten Vale. They are Chaurus that were encased in ice, though under Arch-Curate Vyrthur's command, they will quickly thaw out and attack the Last Dragonborn.

Touching the Sky[]
Arch-Curate Vyrthur will be sitting in a chair inside the Inner Sanctum. Leading up to him are Frozen Chaurus. Once he attacks the Dragonborn and Serana, the Chaurus will break free and attack them too. In a certain room, one holds a staff of icy spears, but taking it will make the chaurus break free.confirmation needed
