Ghosts are undead creatures encountered in The Elder Scrolls: Arena.

Description[]

"They were once human, but are now trapped between here and the ethereal plane. They exist as spirits only, but have a chilling effect upon those they attack."
―Official Arena Game Guide.[UL 2]

Ghosts are spirits of dead men or mer who are trapped between the material world and the afterlife. These apparitions appear as flying transparent shades with glowing red eyes.

Usually found in dungeons, Ghosts likely haunt the places where they died. It is possible to identify Ghosts by their distinctive moan — lower and longer than a Ghoul's moan.

Although they do not possess a material body, these spirits should not be underestimated. They can deal significant damage with their hands at close combat. However, their strongest ability and at the same time their major weakness is their ranged spell, which is used to attack opponents from far away. This spell does not damage health, but instead it drains magicka from the target. This unique ability makes Ghosts a formidable enemy to mages. However, this spell is ineffective against opponents who do not use Magicka and even more ineffective against opponents who do not use Magicka and utilize ranged weapons, such as archers.

Ghosts are between Hell Hounds and zombies in terms of strength.
