The Glass Greatsword (Skyrim) is a Two-Handed weapon in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Locations
Unenchanted Glass Greatswords will begin to appear throughout Skyrim at level 27, and enchanted greatswords can be found at level 28. These locations include:
- Blacksmiths and general goods merchants.
- Wielded by various characters or enemies.
- Found as random loot in chests or as a world item throughout Skyrim.
Fixed locations
- Jorrvaskr living quarters, in a display case by Kodlak's room if at the required level.
Smithing
A Glass Greatsword requires a Smithing level of 70 and the Glass Smithing perk to create. It can be forged at a blacksmith's forge with the following components:
- 2 x Refined Malachite
- 2 x Refined Moonstone
- 3 x Leather Strips
It can be upgraded with a Refined Malachite ingot at a grindstone. The Glass Smithing perk doubles the improvement.
Bugs
- PC Placing a Glass Greatsword on a shield rack or weapon plaque will cause it to appear off-center. There is nothing functionally wrong, but it can be annoying aesthetically.
