Glass weapons are a type of weapon available in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Found as randomized loot, bought, or crafted, they are the fourth most effective classification of weapon available in Skyrim, excluding unique weapons. In the base game, only Ebony and Daedric weapons are stronger.

Acquisition

Unenchanted Glass weapons will begin to appear throughout Skyrim at level 27, and enchanted variants can be found at level 28. These locations include:

Glass weapons can be smithed at a forge with the Glass Smithing perk which is available with a smithing skill of at least 70. The weapons require refined moonstone and refined malachite to make. Moonstone ore can be mined early, as can the malachite ore, but may not appear in vendors' inventories before level 20. Glass weapons can be upgraded at a grindstone, which will increase their damage value. The increase is dependent upon smithing skill, potions and enchanted items equipped.
