Gorieus was an Emperor in the First Era. He was crowned in 1E 461 on the 23rd of Sun's Dawn. Gorieus was the general of the Alessian Army, and was responsible for the downfall of Kjoric the White at the Battle of Sungard.[1]
However, he was unable to stop the king of Skingrad, Rislav Larich, who rebelled against him, and defeated him. Later, this would inspire Hoag Merkiller and Wulfharth of Atmora, as well as Ryain Direnni and the Direnni Bloodline.[1]
