Interactions[]
For the Good of Morthal[]
- "Morthal doesn't need any trouble. You keep your nose clean, understand?"
- ―Gorm[src]
If Gorm is spoken to at the Moorside Inn, without the Jarl nearby, he will ask for assistance in his plan to overthrow Idgrod. He will then give the Dragonborn Gorm's Letter to deliver to Captain Aldis in Solitude.
Doing this does not provide a quest entry in the journal, and delivering the letter does not result in any reward higher than 20 . It does, however, count toward helping the citizens of Morthal, satisfying one of Jarl Idgrod's requirements for becoming a Thane.
Civil War[]
If the Dragonborn sides with the Stormcloaks during the Civil War or trades Hjaalmarch during "Season Unending," Gorm will relocate to the Blue Palace in Solitude alongside Idgrod and the other Imperial supporters.
Dialogue[]
Introduction[]
"You will not disrespect Jarl Idgrod while in this hall. Do we have an understanding?"
- We certainly do. "Then by all means, go about your business."
- Why would I disrespect her? "It's not secret that Jarl Igrod is... different. It's also no secret that there are rumors about her and her... visions. I won't repeat them, and I won't allow them to be spread under this roof. Now, you go about your business."
- I don't like being told what to do. "No? Then how do you like the idea of having your legs broken? Mind your manners in this hall, friend."
For the Good of Morthal[]
"My mind weighs heavy enough. Leave me to my food."
- Is there something bothering you, Gorm? "There is a... a problem, yes. I'm worried about Idgrod, and I don't know what to do."
- What's the problem? "She's so lost in her visions, and it's only getting worse. I've looked after her safety for so long... If she can't tell what's real and what's not, how will she continue to lead Hjaalmarch?"
- Is there anything I can do? "Yes, I suppose there is. There is a letter, one I have had for some time now. I think it is time it gets delivered. I cannot leave Idgrod's side, so I must stay here. Could you see that it reaches Captain Aldis in Solitude?"
- I'll see that your letter reaches Aldis. "Thank you. Please, do not open it. It is... private."
- I'm not getting involved. "I understand."
- Still have that letter you need delivered? "Yes, but... not so loud! Will you take it to Captain Aldis?"

Conversations[]
Idgrod Ravencrone[]
Idgrod Ravencrone: "You are troubled, Gorm." Gorm: "No, no. I'm fine. Is there something you need?" Idgrod Ravencrone: "No, Gorm. I am simply telling you what I see." Gorm: "Yes, okay. Well thank you."
Gorm: "How are you feeling, Jarl Idgrod?" Idgrod Ravencrone: "The visions continue to hold me in balance, Gorm." Gorm: "So, the same then." Idgrod Ravencrone: "Do not worry, my friend. All is well."
Moorside Inn[]
Alva: "Would you like to buy a lady a drink?" Gorm: "What would Hroggar say if he heard I was drinking with you?" Alva: "Forget about Hroggar. He's always so tired lately. I need someone with a little fire in their blood." Gorm: "After all you've put that man through. You should be more loyal to him."
Benor: "Ho, Gorm." Gorm: "Buy you a drink?" Benor: "Not right now. Anything new?" Gorm: "Still the same. I tell you, something's got to be done." Benor: "When the time is right, friend. When we're sure." Gorm: "The longer we wait, the worse it gets." Benor: "Let's talk about it some other time."
Quotes[]
- "I'm just here to protect the Jarl, not to chat."
- "Morthal has enough problems without you bothering me."
- "I'm under a lot of pressure. If you don't leave me alone, I won't be held responsible."
- "What do you want, milk drinker?" —When exiled
- "Leave Idgrod and her family alone. They've been through enough." —When exiled
- "This wasn't what I wanted. Not at all." —When exiled
