Greywater Grotto is a cave located southeast of Helgen and west of Fort Neugrad. It was once a hideout for a group of bandits, but they were killed by wild beasts, which now occupy this grotto.

- One corundum ore vein – near the frozen lake, found easily
- One gold ore vein – at the end of the cave, in a wall near the dead bandit and the chest
- One iron ore vein – to the right when going down from the first chamber.

- PC 360 PS3 If the cave has already been cleared by the Dragonborn when an animal extermination mission is received from one of the Companions, it may be impossible to complete the quest. A dead Snowy Sabre Cat will be marked as the quest target inside the cave.
- If the puddle under the small waterfall is stepped into, one may become permanently stuck under an ice cap.
