She lived there with her husband, Leifnarr, and son, Gralnach, until Leifnarr disappeared. She seems to think that her husband left to be with another woman and is very curt when referring to him, though she still wants to find out what has happened to him.
She is generally warm towards the Dragonborn, but ultimately comes off as hardened by the disappearance of her husband. She expresses little discernible emotion as she matter of factually states that the mill will go under in a few seasons without him.
The Dragonborn is sent to locate her missing husband, Leifnarr, who she says was headed towards Broken Helm Hollow. Exploring this hollow reveals Leifnarr's fate.
- She will pay five per piece of firewood brought to her.
- With the addition of Hearthfire, Grosta sells Sawn Logs.
- If the option to saw one's own logs is taken, she will say, "Sure, I could use the break." Any logs sawed do not add to the total the Dragonborn has in their inventory, however.
This section contains bugs related to Grosta (Skyrim). Before adding a bug to this list, consider the following:
This is a commonly broken objective and Grosta's state seems to be bugged. Current details are not known about the true quest flow for the object, but Leifnarr's corpse can be found in a secret room at Broken Helm Hollow. The corpse is an unnamed Nord and will give the one the objective to report Leiffnar's death to his family. Talking to either Grosta or Gralnach about finding him is not an option.
- Activating the quest before anything else usually prevents this bug.
