Hammers can be found throughout Skyrim's nine holds. They are usually found near blacksmith areas and mines. Hammers cannot be equipped and used; however, when using a workbench, they are shown in a cutscene.

- 7 can be found at the Solitude Blacksmith in Solitude.
- In Markarth: 1 at the Markarth Blacksmith, 2 in Endon's House, and 1 in the right-rear locked room at the Dwemer Museum.
- 1 can be found in Irkngthand Slave Pens at the torture chamber.
- 1 can be found around the stables in Fort Greymoor.
- 1 can be found on top of the workbench in The Ratway Vaults.
- 4 in The Scorched Hammer.
