- Not to be confused with Hoag Merkiller.
Hoag Stormcloak,[1] also known as the Great Bear of Eastmarch,[2] was the father of Ulfric Stormcloak[3][4] and the leader of the Stormcloak Clan.[1] He is known to have had a more tolerant approach to the non-Nordic population of Windhelm than his son,[5] who banned the Argonian population from living within the city walls.[6] He died after the Markarth Incident in 4E 176, while Ulfric was imprisoned.[2]
