Hunger are pure-born Daedric creatures placed on the Shivering Isles as servitors and guards of Boethiah, the arch-enemy of Molag Bal.
Background[]
Heretics often summon them, much like Zealots will summon flesh atronachs. They drop the ingredient hunger tongue. This is only true for wild hunger: summoned hunger do not carry anything, but can still be soul trapped. The summon spells are only available from Earil in Crucible.
