Imperial Boots is a piece of heavy armor and part of the Imperial Armor set found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
They are identical in appearance to Steel Shin Boots, but have a lower armor rating and require slightly fewer crafting materials.
Locations[]
Imperial Boots typically cannot be found as random loot, however they can be found in certain locations.
Fixed locations[]
- Worn by Haafingar Guards.
- A full set is awarded by Beirand upon joining the Imperial Legion and choosing the heavy Imperial armor when getting outfitted.
- Helgen Keep – the female Imperial Captain wears a full set that can be obtained if Ralof is followed during "Unbound."
- Alftand – Sulla Trebatius wear a full set, minus the helmet, which can be obtained after he is killed.
- One pair of boots can be stolen from the armory in Castle Dour.
- Another pair can be stolen from a closet near the door leading to Solitude's walls.
- One pair can be found in Fort Neugrad if the Empire reclaims it after "Season Unending."
- Ten pairs can be found in Fort Dunstad after the Empire claims it during the Civil War.
- Four pairs can be found in Fort Greenwall after the Empire claims it in the Civil War.
- Five pairs can be found in Fort Greymoor if the Empire claims it in the Civil War.
- Two pairs of boots can be found in Fort Frostmoth. DR
- One pair can be stolen from the first floor of the New Gnisis Cornerclub.
Smithing[]
Imperial Boots require a Smithing level of 20 and the Steel Smithing perk to forge. They can be crafted at a blacksmith's forge with the following components:
- 2 × Leather Strips
- 1 × Leather
- 2 × Steel Ingot
They can be upgraded with a Steel Ingot at a workbench and also benefits from the Steel Smithing perk, which doubles the improvement.
