Intelligence is a primary attribute and a significant factor in determining the amount of Magicka one has available. Without increasing the default Magicka multiplier, the Nerevarine has one point of Magicka per point of Intelligence (the multiplier is higher for Altmers, Bretons, and those with certain birthsigns). Fifteen percent of Intelligence also represents the amount of Magicka regained for hour of rest.

Items[edit | edit source]

Intelligence is one of three factors in determining the charge cost of using enchanted items, along with the Enchant skill and Luck attribute. By increasing these factors, enchanted items can be used more often before needing to be recharged.

The following items increase, lower, or restore Intelligence. (They may have additional effects – see articles for further details.)

Note: Damage effects persist until restored; Drain effects are temporary; Constant effects cannot be dispelled.

Armor[edit | edit source]

There are no pieces of armor or shields that affect Intelligence in Morrowind, the expansion packs, or official plug-ins.
