"Always a pleasure to meet a prospective bard. You should be aware that many apply but we accept very few people."

Investigate the Bard's College is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It acts as a prelude quest for the Bard's College quests to direct the Dragonborn to the College.

Objectives[edit | edit source]

  1. Investigate the Bards College

Walkthrough[edit | edit source]

The quest can be initiated by speaking with any of Skyrim's Bards, who are typically located in a city's inn or tavern. The bard will note that they were trained at the Bards College in Solitude and that "wanderers," such as the Dragonborn, should think about applying.

After the quest has been received, the Dragonborn should then travel to the Bards College in Solitude, and speak to Viarmo to complete the quest.

When selecting the quest, the marker simply points to Viarmo (Headmaster of the Bards College) with no speech options relating to the quest. At this point the quest is no longer completable and will simply take up space in the Miscellaneous Quest tab.
