Iron Arrows are arrows found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Description[]
Iron arrows have wooden shafts, iron arrowheads and red fletchings. The quiver is made from crude leather.
Locations[]
- These arrows can be found on most enemies, including bandits.
- They can also be found in most dungeons, caves, and in chests.
- Weapons merchants sell them.
- Twelve will be given to the Dragonborn, along with a long bow, near the end of their escape from Helgen.
Smithing[]
With the addition of The Elder Scrolls V: Dawnguard, iron arrows can be created at a forge by using an iron ingot and firewood to create 24 arrows.
Trivia[]
- Iron arrows are the earliest arrows encountered in Skyrim. If the Dragonborn follows Hadvar at the start, they will find their first set of iron arrows on a Stormcloak Soldier. If they side with Ralof, they will find their first set on an Imperial Archer.
Bugs[]
This section contains bugs related to Iron Arrow (Skyrim). Before adding a bug to this list, consider the following:
|
- 360 Iron arrows may frequently pass through enemies without hitting them, even at point blank range where no miss can be mistaken as a bug. The enemies can be hit normally however if they detect the player character, and this occurs with no other arrow type.
- PC In The Elder Scrolls V: Hearthfire, placing iron arrows in the Dragonborn's house's cupboard may render them unable to be retrieved, causing them to be stuck in the cupboard. This does not seem to happen with other arrow types.
- PC (Fix) This is because some iron arrows which the Dragonborn may have acquired are abnormal in some way. The only way to check if the Dragonborn has these abnormal iron arrows is by dropping the stack of iron arrows. If the Dragonborn is in possession of abnormal iron arrows, the dropped arrows will split into two quivers on the ground, one containing only regular arrows, and the other (usually much smaller in number) containing only the abnormal arrows. Leave the abnoral arrows or pick them up and use the console command "
player.removeitem 1397d #
" where # is the total number of abnormal arrows. After picking up the other quiver, it should be completely safe to place the iron arrows in containers and cupboards.
