The Iron Mace is a one-handed weapon in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It is one of the most common weapons available, being among the first to which the Dragonborn has access.
Locations[]
Both enchanted, and non-enchanted maces are available throughout Skyrim from the beginning. These locations include:
- Blacksmiths and general goods merchants.
- Wielded by various characters or enemies.
- Found as random loot in chests, or lying around in forts and caves.
- One can be found in the small armory inside the torture room in Helgen Keep during Unbound.
Smithing[]
An iron mace can be crafted without having any Smithing perks. It can be forged at a blacksmith's forge with the following components:
- 3 x Iron Ingot
- 2 x Leather Strip
It can be upgraded with an iron ingot at a grindstone; however, it does not benefit from any Smithing perks.
