J'zargo's Flame Cloak Scrolls are special scrolls in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, given to the Dragonborn by J'zargo at the College of Winterhold for the quest "J'zargo's Experiment."
Usage[]
Ten of them are received during the quest. J'zargo's Flame Cloak Scrolls must be used in melee range, and are especially effective against the undead. Each lasts for 30 seconds and kills the undead almost instantly.
Furthermore, due to the potency of these scrolls, undead will explode and damage everyone nearby after dying, including the Dragonborn.
Trivia[]
- Be cautious when using these scrolls. The explosion damage from the undead may provoke an attack from any followers. Simply being surrounded by fire from this spell will also damage any nearby followers. A suggestion is to have them wait at a distance.
- Walking within melee range of multiple undead may immediately kill the Dragonborn, due to multiple explosions.
- If given to a follower, they may use it in battle and hurt the Dragonborn if they are too close.
- The Experimental Scroll in The Elder Scrolls: Legends is a reference to J'zargo's Flame Cloak Scroll.
