Jorrvaskr was a longboat made by Menro and Manwe in Jylkurfyk for The Return of the Five Hundred Companions. Its captain was Jeek of the River and its crew consisted of twenty-two men, and they were close friends with the legendary Atmoran warrior and leader Ysgramor.[1]

History[]

Merethic Era[]

After crossing the Sea of Ghosts and reclaiming Saarthal, the Circle of Captains was assembled among the Five Hundred Companions. It was decided that every captain and his crew should go their own path, where Jeek and his band went southwards towards the area that was later named Whiterun Hold. After finding out about the Skyforge, Jeek decided that it would be a proper place to settle. The boat was made into shelter for the band and thus began the building of Whiterun.[1]

Fourth Era[]

Jorrvaskr continues to serve The Companions as a Mead Hall in the Fourth Era.[2]
