Walkthrough[]

The Vestige finds a talking skull on the ground north of the Southpoint Wayshrine. It is Dringoth. He says that Worm Cultists are creating undead in the Orchard. The Vestige ties Dringoth's skull to their belt and finds the rest of him scattered around the Orchard.

Once the Vestige puts him back together, they find out what the Worm Cult is doing in the Orchard. Dringoth gives one of his ribs to allow the them to control the other skeletons. The Vestige finds a large skull. The Worm Cult is trying to dig up the other big skeletons in Barrowbough.

Dringoth will tell you that you need the help of Spinner Amariel to enter the Barrowbough. She can be found in a cave in the north of the area. She will be none too pleased to see Dringoth reassembled, claiming that he likely had a part in what brought the Worm Cult here, but she will help you nonetheless. She will give you a horn that you must sound at the entrance of the Barrowbough to gain entry.

Head back to the dig site and enter the Barrowbough. In the first room, you will encounter a few worm cultists; slay them, then use the horn to awaken Nirenan so that she may allow you into the heart of the Barrowbough. Head to the west passage and you will witnedd a conversation between Dringoth and an entity named Olphras. Olphras will be very displeased with Dringoth and will trap him beneath the roots of the Barrowbough forever. When you speak with her though, you can persuade her to forgive Dringoth and let him help repel the invaders. You may also listen to her story of how everyone here got trapped beneath the Barrowbough for eternity due to Dringoth's actions, after which you can choose to let him live or let him die.

Either way, once you are done talking to Olphras, head through the door to your south and repel the Worm Cult invaders there with the help of the skeletons of the Barrowbough. After they are dead, head outside and speak with Dringoth there if you spared him. This will finish the quest. If you did not spare Dringoth, [?].
