"Once, very briefly, the city of Ebonheart decreed dancing to be illegal. The Dark Elves promptly invented the Lava Foot Stomp, which they called a necessity should their boots ever catch aflame. They practiced it in taverns, while wearing a small pin."
―Breda[src]

Lava Foot Stomp is a repeatable daily quest available to be initiated from Breda in Eastmarch, north of the Kynesgrove Wayshrine.

Breda, a New Life Herald, whilst discussing with the Vestige, speaks of Ebonheart's New Life Festival. The Lava Foot Stomp commemorates the brief outlaw of dancing in Ebonheart, and during it participants wear a special pin, then dance at Stonefalls' different taverns. The Vestige must travel to four places and dance while wearing the special pin.

Brela Dialogue

Breda, a New Life Herald located north of Kynesgrove Wayshrine.

What's another way people celebrate the New Life Festival? "Once, very briefly, the city of Ebonheart decreed dancing to be illegal. The Dark Elves promptly invented the Lava Foot Stomp, which they called a necessity should their boots ever catch aflame. They practiced it in taverns, while wearing a small pin."

What sort of pin? "A dazzling pin such as this showed they were in friendly company. Now, it's a symbol of participation. Best to experience the Lava Foot Stomp for yourself. I'll mark the taverns on your map. Now, go forth and dance!"
All right, I'll dance the Lava Foot Stomp.

The Vestige's first objective would be The Watch House in Davon's Watch, located near the city's Mages Guild branch. The Vestige must interact to dance inside the tavern, and do the same in The Fish Stink, further down in the city's docks. Afterwards, they must travel to Ebonheart and dance inside The Ebony Flask in the east of the town, and in the basement of the great Hlaalu House. Once the Vestige has finished dancing at all the taverns, they must return and talk to Breda back in Eastmarch.

"You have the smell of soot about you! Did you just return from Ebonheart?"

I completed the Lava Foot Stomp: "So you brought some much needed joy into the dour lands of Stonefalls? This is why the Lava Foot Stomp occurs each year. At least for a time, the warm feeling comes from within―and not all the nearby volcanoes."

One can dance at each tavern with a partner, earning him the achievement of Lava Foot Shuffle.
