Level 4 is the fourth quest in An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire.
Walkthrough[]
Level 4 starts in an open area, leading to a hallway with a new enemy, a Frost Daedra. The next area features another Frost Daedra, and a Fire Daedra. Advancing to the back of the room is a small wooden platform, with a level in front of it. Activating the lever makes the platform rise up to another floor, where the Hero is greeted by a Seducer.
From the Seducer, two hallways are found, leading in the opposite direction. The hallway on the left side leads to a small room with another Fire Daedra, and leads down to a small dock and a water-filled room. The hallway to the right leads to a bridge connected to another area, protected by two other Fire Daedra.
Right path[]
Following the right path leads to a prison of sorts. The first gate is locked, with a Dremora Oathkin patrolling behind it. Walking further down the hallway leads to fire and frost daedra alike, with a pullable chain being found in one of the right indents. Pulling the chain opens up some of the gates, including the first one.
Proceeding further, the hallway splits up, with one direction going straight ahead, and another going to the right. Taking the path to the right leads to a small storage room, where another Letter for the Battlespire Hero is found, which provides needed information for one of the areas behind the first gate. Following the main path, the Hero will come across a room on the left, blocked by sigils. Going further down, a similar such room is found, blocked by sigil again. At the bottom of the path the Hero will find water.
Backtracking to the area behind the first gate leads to another gate, which demands an answer before it opens. Having found the answer via the letter, answer the question with "The Gerent of Dagon Rules Here" to open the gate. Behind the gate is a large room, where the captured Daedra Deyanira Katrece is found. A lever is also found nearby.
Water[]
The water is accessible from both sides. From the right path, the water splits up in two directions. The left path leads to a dead end, where at the water bottom, letter 8 of the Letters for the Battlespire Hero can be found again. In the other direction, on either side of the waterway, are small indents. In one of these indents, another lever is found. Continuing further leads to the small boat which is found if the left path was followed instead. Behind the boat is a hole in the wall, which leads to a rock in the center of the water room. Several Seducers are found here, and need to be slain. Two Sigil Keys can be looted from their corpses.
Having cleared the rock, a small bridge leads to another room. Activating the doors opens up to a large area, with several potions on either side of the room. Fighting the Daedra until the room is cleared, an altar can be spotted at the end of the room. Behind the altar, another lever is found.
Sigil Areas[]
Having acquired Sigils from the Seducers, the two areas found on the right path can be accessed. One of the two rooms has another Seducer, and a large stone hand with more sigils on it. Jumping on the hand provides the Book of the Wheels of Heaven.
The second sigil locked area leads to a large open room, with two passages, one of which is locked by a sigil lock. Various potions, Frost Daedra, Seducers, and Fire Daedra are found in the area. Following the open passage leads to a Dremora Oathkin, who willingly offers the entry key required for the sigil lock.
Passing through, several Dremora Seducers are found. Following the walls to the right eventually leads to a hallway, which in turn, leads to a room. Within this room, another copy of Book of the Wheels of Heaven is found, alongside potions, as well as a health and spell point gem.
In the main area itself, several platforms are seen. On these platforms are lines of Daedric letters. The correct letters must be pressed in order to continue. Pressing the wrong button deals damage. Using the Daedric Alphabet, the four rows must each me looked at in order to press the right buttons. The word which must be made is the word "Dusk". In order of the word, these rows are the following letters:
- A, B, C, D, E, F, G – The fourth letter must be pressed.
- Z, W, V, U, T – The fourth letter from the left, or second from the right, must be pressed.
- M, N, O, P, Q, R, S – The last letter from the left, or first from the right, must be pressed.
- H, I, J, K, L – The fourth letter from the left, or second from the right, must be pressed.
With the pressing of each letter, a bridge to the central structure is raised. With all four letters in place, all bridges are up. The central structure has four wheels attached to it, which must be turned in order to proceed.
Moving on[]
From the original hallway leading into the chamber, head left to where used to be a large iron door. If the previous steps were performed correctly, it has now been replaced with a blue aura. It blocks the path until a riddle is answered:
"Never watched by daylight"
"Never watched by night"
"But evenstar watches oft and well"
"'Tween the black and bright"
Answering with "dusk" removes the aura, and enables the Hero to proceed into a small storage area. A path on the right leads down, but is blocked by spiked bars. The other option is to move into the room next to it. Here a Seducer is found, who must be beaten. In one of the corners of the room, a lever is found, which provides access through the bars.
Moving through the tunnel, the Hero eventually encounters Jaciel Morgen, who is uncooperative, and unable to help the Hero further. As such, the Hero must return to Deyanira Katrece for advice.
Deyanira makes up a plan in which she returns to Oblivion so that Jaciel will snap out of her trance and help the Hero, providing the Hero with a dagger containing her essence before doing so. Approaching Jaciel with the dagger makes her cooperative, and provides the passphrase required to advance to the final part of the level, "djemekweh".
With the password, all that remains is finding the exit. Behind Deyanira are several floating bridges and platforms, on one of which a Dremora is found. Near the Dremora is a platform with a brazier on top of it. Activating the brazier provides access to the exit of the level. Making their way over there, the Hero will be told that "The Gate is Sealed". Answering with "djemekweh" will unlock it. Behind the gate, another Dremora is found, who is willing to engage in dialogue. He will inform the Hero that their friend is captured, and give minor insights into the next area before leaving the Hero. From here, a minor teleporter is found, which transports the Hero to the final area of the level.
In this area, a couple of Seducers, Fire Daedra, and Frost Daedra are encountered guarding the teleporter leading to the next level. Before dealing with them, some potions can be collected next to the teleportation pad. Once the Daedra are dealt with, the Hero can safely step on the main teleporter, and gain access to Level 5.

- Letters for the Battlespire Hero, 8 and 9 – 8 is found behind one of the pillars in the first room. 9 is found in a small storage room, as well as underwater.
- Book of the Wheels of Heaven – Found in one of the sigil-locked rooms at the right path. Also found later on after the teleporter.
