The Library is a possible addition for the east wing of a homestead built in The Elder Scrolls V: Hearthfire.

Features

The Library is a towered structure that serves as a dedicated place to store the many books that can be found throughout Skyrim. Its furnishings focus on the bookshelves that can be fitted. In total, 308 books can be stored in the library. This unfortunately isn't enough space to display all available books in a single one, as there are 413 individual books (with 409 separate titles), not including journals and notes.

Like the Alchemy Laboratory and Enchanter's Tower, a ladder from the second floor leads to a small rooftop balcony. An optional canopy also can be added to the balcony during construction.

Furnishings

The following is a list of all the furnishings that can be added to the Library. Furnishings can be built manually at the indoor workbench or added over a period time if done via a steward. The cost of asking a steward to furnish the Library is 1500 .

All furnishings are fixed in position and cannot be removed once they are built. The name of the furnishing option does not always accurately describe what will be added, as in some cases additional containers and accessories may be added, along with the main piece of furniture.

Bugs

•  PC   360   PS3   Sometimes the books placed on the bookshelves will disappear, when the bookshelves are activated, but not over time and not if the books are taken off the shelf without activating the bookshelf.
•  360   Sometimes when the bookshelves in the library are constructed, they will not appear and the option to build them will disappear rendering the library model fairly useless.
