Light from the Darkness is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls Online.

This tower is a lightless oubliette, a prison of darkness that binds King Laloriaran Dynar, the last Ayleid King.
Quick walkthrough[]
- Collect and place the three crystals.
- Destroy the two receivers binding King Dynar.
- Talk to King Dynar.
- Enter the portal to the City.
- Enter the Fighters Guild Training Grounds.

Walkthrough[]
After speaking to king Laoriaran Dynar, the Last Ayleid King, he will say that a Light of Meridia can set him free. In order to do so, the Vestige must collect the three crystals, the Lifeshadow, the Mindshadow and Flameshadow from their pedestals. They are located in different sections of the Lightless Oubliette.
The Flameshadow crystal is located in a frozen alcove guarded by Frost Atronachs. Once taken from its pedestal, the room will fill with lava and flame atronachs will spawn. This crystal goes on a central dais.
The Mindshadow crystal is located in the Library and the Vestige will have to fight their way through Shriven to get to it. Once taken from its pedestal, all enemies will turn non-hostile, allowing the Vestige an easier way out.
The Lifeshadow crystal is located in the garden. Once obtained, enemies will stay hostile. The Vestige should take the crystal back to central dais in order to progress the quest.
Once all three crystals have been placed, the Vestige can enter King Laloriaran Dynar's prison and set him free. Once inside, the King's projection will greet them. He will explain that in order to set him free, the Vestige has to destroy the ebon shards by using the Light of Meridia and direct the light towards the shards using rotatable crystals.
When the ebon shards have been broken, the King is set free. After short conversation, he will open a portal to the Hollow City. Later on, he can be found at the Fighters Guild grounds of the Hollow City.
