  • Despite the in-game description, this effect does not increase the target's armor rating, but inflicts shock damage upon nearby adversaries.
  • This effect's magnitude directly corresponds to the increase in shock resistance (e.g., if the target has 20% shock resistance and uses a 10-point effect, the result is 30% shock resistance for the duration). Ten percent of the effect's magnitude corresponds to the damage dealt to nearby opponents.
  • In Morrowind, this effect increases shock resistance and damages nearby opponents, but does not increase armor rating. In Oblivion, this effect increases shock resistance and armor rating, but does not damage nearby adversaries.
