Mazoga the Orc quote

Mazoga the Orc is an Orsimer that the Hero meets in Castle Leyawiin for the quest "Mazoga the Orc." She used to be a bandit and was associated with people such as Black Brugo, who the Hero has to kill as part of the next quest, "Knights of the White Stallion."

BackgroundEdit

Mazoga the Orc was once a member a gang of bandits. After her friend Ra'vindra was killed by the bandit Mogens Wind-Shifter, she began calling herself a knight and took an oath to kill the person responsible. She made her way to Leyawiin in order to find Weebam-Na so he could take her to Fisherman's Rock, the hiding place of Mogens Wind-Shifter. The Count of Leyawin requests of the Hero to figure out what Mazoga was doing.

Mazoga the OrcEdit

This quest starts when the Hero talks to Count Marius Caro in Castle Leyawiin. He wants to know why Mazoga the Orc will not leave his hall.

Knights of the White StallionEdit

After the Hero and Mazoga have killed the Black Bow Bandits and Black Brugo, the Count of Leyawiin will grant them the Title of Knight-Errant of the White Stallion and the Leyawiin Shield. They also get the key to the lodge and so does Mazoga.

LocationsEdit

  • Before the quest "Mazoga the Orc," she can be found in Castle Leyawiin seeking council with Count Marius Caro.
  • After the quest "Knights of the White Stallion," most days she spends her time in the White Stallion Lodge.
  • Three days a week, also post-quest, she hunts for Black Bow Bandits. Every Morndas at 2 p.m., she clears Telepe of Black Bows, every Middas at 2 p.m., she heads to Rockmilk Cave, and every Turdas, she visits Undertow Cavern with the same intent.

DialogueEdit

Show: Mazoga the Orc
Inside Castle Leyawiin:

"Are you the Count?"

Yes. "You're a liar. You don't even look like a Count."
No. "Then go away."

After speaking to the Count:

"Are you the Count?"

The Count sent me. "The Count? Then I can talk to you. I'm Mazoga."
Mazoga the Orc "Yes. I'm an Orc. I was born under a rock, and I have no parents. So I didn't need a family name. I guess you don't know how to talk to a knight. So I'll teach you. Say, 'Yes, Sir Mazoga'."
[Say nothing.] "You won't say 'Sir' to me? You are afraid to speak. It would shame me to fight a gutless thing like you. So go away."
'Sir?' You're a woman. "I'm a knight. So say, 'Sir'. Say, 'Yes, Sir Mazoga'."
Yes, Sir Mazoga. "All right, then. Just don't forget."

If approached again:

"What do you want?"

Knight "I'm a FREE knight. I don't have a lord. You got a problem with that?"
You don't look like a knight. "You don't know anything about being a knight, so shut up about it."
No, Sir Mazoga. "All right, then"
"There's an Argonian named Weebam-Na in town. Go get him for me."
Weebam-Na "Do you know where Weebam-Na is? I hear he's a hunter, knows all about the woods around here."
No. "Then go find him. Tell him I want to see him right now. I'll meet him here."
Yes. "Go tell him I want to see him right now. I'll meet him here."
Mazoga the Orc "That's 'Sir Mazoga' to you..."

"People are just ignorant around here..."

If approached again:

"Go tell Weebam-Na I want to see him. I'll wait right here."

Weebam-Na "Go tell him I want to see him. Here. Right now."

"Get a move on, will you?"

After the conversation with Weebam-Na:

"Weebam-Na won't take me to Fisherman's Rock."

Fisherman's Rock "Weebam-Na won't take me to Fisherman's Rock. You know where it is?"
Yes.
No. "The Argonian said Fisherman's Rock is north of Leyawiin on a point of land on the east shore of the Niben."
"Take me there. Now."
Why? "This guy, Mogens Wind-Shifter, he camps at Fisherman's Rock. So you take me there, and I talk to him, and then we see what happens. You hear me? I TALK to him first. No smashing in his teeth or chopping off his head! Understand?"
Talking, THEN smashing and chopping? "Could be. You know how it is. But not until I'm finished talking!"
I understand. Follow me. "The Argonian says it's north of Leyawiin, about six hours walk, on the ast bank of the Niben. Let's get moving."
Maybe later. "Big help you are.... All right. Maybe I'll wait here. And maybe not.

"What are we waiting for?"

If refused at first:

"Take me to Fisherman's Rock. Now."

Fisherman's Rock "Are you going to take me to Fisherman's Rock?"
I understand. Follow me. "The Argonian says it's north of Leyawiin, about six hours walk, on the ast bank of the Niben. Let's get moving."
Follow me. "Get moving! I'm right behind you..."
Wait here. "Come on! What's the hold-up?"

After killing Mogens Wind-Shifter and his gang:

"I kept my oath. Mogens Wind-Shifter is dead. Mogens Wind-Shifter had a gang. They robbed and killed travelers. But Ra'vindra saw, and told the guards. Mogens got away, but first he killed Ra'vindra... m y best friend, Ra'vindra. That day, I became a knight, and swore a knight's oath. I searched a long time, and asked everyone, then I finally heard he was hiding at Fisherman's Rock. So now you know everything. You helped me, and I won't forget. Take what you want from the dead. I came to keep my oath, and now I'm done."

Mazoga's Story "When I saw my friend killed, I swore I'd be a true knight and right all wrongs. So now I gotta do some good deeds. I don't know much about being a knight. But I'm gonna learn. Say. You did ME a good deed. You ought to be a real knight yourself."

"You're a pal."

If approached again:

"I kept my oath. Mogens Wind-Shifter is dead. Now I return to Castle Leyawiin. Come visit me there some day."

Inside Castle Leyawiin:

"Hello, friend. Thank you again for your help."

Leyawiin "I like Leyawiin. That Count got you to help me. Damn nice. Both of you. Think I'll stick around. Maybe do some good deeds here."

Inside Castle Leyawiin:

"Hello, friend. Thank you again for your help."

Black Brugo "I know Brugo. Long ago, back before I became 'Sir Mazoga', I split a share or two with Brugo."
Tell about Count's offer. "Brugo's a jerk. He's got a hideout in a ruin called Telepe. Every night, between midnight and six AM, he stops there to pick up his take. We're pals, right? So we'll kill Black Brugo and be knights! I'll wait right here until you ask me to follow you."

If approached again:

"If you're ready to go get Black Brugo, I'm ready to follow you."

I'm ready. Come with me. "Let's go."
Not yet. Wait here. "You're the boss. Whenever you're ready...."
Black Brugo "Expect Brugo and his boys in Telepe. Middas, after midnight."

If approached again:

"I'm with you, friend. We kill Black Brugo, and the Count makes us both knights."

Follow me. "I'm ready when you are..."
Wait here. "You're the boss."

After killing Black Brugo:

"Black Brugo is dead, right? So I'm going to be a knight? I'll go back and wait in the County Hall. You'll tell me when I'm a real knight? Please?"

Inside Castle Leyawiin:

"Did you tell the Count about Black Brugo?"

After becoming a knight:

"Did you tell the Count about Black Brugo?"

Black Brugo "So? Am I a knight?"
Not yet. "Yeah? Well, good luck. Let me know how it comes out."
We are both Knights-Errant! "God's goolies! Not just a knight, but a... Knight-Errant! That's a real special kind of Knight, right? So? Go on... say it! Say... 'I greet you, Sir Mazoga.'"
Hail, Knight of the White Stallion! "Thank you kindly! 'Knight of the White Stallion.' Sounds good. Damn good. I'm a knight-errant now, and I don't care who knows it. So, thank you. You've been good to me. And I won't ever forget it. So I better get started doing my good deeds. And maybe I'll see you at the White Stallion Lodge?"
I greet you, Sir Mazoga. "Thank you kindly, Sir Knight. Sounds good. Damn good. I'm a knight-errant now, and I don't care who knows it. So, thank you. You've been good to me. And I won't ever forget it. So I better get started doing my good deeds. And maybe I'll see you at the White Stallion Lodge?"
Don't push it. I'm a knight, too. "Yeah. Well. Maybe you're right. A real knight shouldn't act like a jerk to his pals. So, thank you. You've been good to me. And I won't ever forget it. So I better get started doing my good deeds. And maybe I'll see you at the White Stallion Lodge."

If approached again:

"I'm gonna go get me some black bows. Tag along if you like."

ConversationsEdit

Fisherman's Rock

Weebam-Na: "You want to speak to me?"
Mazoga: "You are Weebam-Na?"
Weebam-Na: "Yes."
Mazoga: "I want to go to Fisherman's Rock. Where's that?"
Weebam-Na: "Fisherman's Rock is north of Leyawiin, about six hours walk, on a point of land on the eastern shore of the Niben."
Mazoga: "Take me there. Now. I'm in a hurry."
Weebam-Na: "Why?"
Mazoga: "That's my business."
Weebam-Na: "Then, if you won't tell me why, I won't take you anywhere."
Mazoga: "Then to hell with you!"

Ra'vindra

Mazoga: "Remember me?"
Mogens: "No. Who are you?"
Mazoga: "I'm Mazoga. You killed my friend, Ra'vindra."
Mogens: "I don't know what you're talking about."
Mazoga: "You're a lying bastard. You killed Ra'vindra. And now I'm going to kill you."

QuotesEdit

  • "I'm gonna go get me some more black bows. Tag along if you like."

TriviaEdit

  • After completing both of her quests, she and the Hero become the only known members of the Knights of the White Stallion.
  • Once she has begun following the Hero for the quest "Knights of the White Stallion," she will continue following the Hero even if they go elsewhere to do other quests. It is therefore possible to use her help to complete other quests.
  • It is possible for Mazoga to be killed by the Leyawiin guards, and the count will blame the Hero for her death. This can happen any time the guards in the castle attack the Hero, such as during Sanguine's Daedric quest, since she will attack the guards to defend the Hero. Even if they leave Leyawiin for several days, upon returning to the castle, the guards will attack Mazoga and likely kill her, even at high levels.
