Molag Bal's Quest is a quest undertaken by the Nerevarine on behalf of Molag Bal during the events of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.
Objectives[]
Walkthrough[]
When exploring the Daedric shrine of Yansirramus (west of Tel Aruhn) the Nerevarine may discover a statue dedicated to the Daedric Prince of Domination and Enslavement, Molag Bal. Molag Bal will proceed to contact the Nerevarine when they interact with the statue, stating that he has a task for them to complete (and will be rewarded for doing so).
The Lazy Menta Na[]
Molag Bal reveals that the creation of his Menta Na has displeased him, and he must be killed for his laziness. Menta Na can be found in Kora-Dur, a cave near to Kogoruhn. It is revealed, however, that Menta Na is, in fact, a Daedroth and is locked behind a door (fortunately for the Nerevarine, however, Molag Bal gave them a key to open it). Once Menta Na has been killed, the Nerevarine must return to Molag Bal for their reward, the Mace of Molag Bal.

10 | While in a Shrine to Molag Bal, the Daedric Prince spoke to me at the altar. He was angered, and I was afraid. His anger, however, was not directed at me, but rather toward one of his minions. Menta Na, a Daedroth Monarch, has grown lazy, and no longer does Molag Bal's bidding. If I kill Menta Na in his dungeon Kora-Dur, returning his soul to the Outer Realms where Molag Bal can punish him, then Molag Bal will reward me well.

20 | I've killed the Daedroth Menta Na. |
40 | I've returned to the Shrine of Molag Bal, having killed the Daedroth Monarch. Molag Bal was true to his word, and has rewarded me with his mace, the Mace of Molag Bal.

Trivia[]
- The cave of Kora-Dur is fairly easy to miss.
- It is, however, full of valuable items, including a Daedric Staff.
- Menta Na is the only creature from which Daedra Skin can be obtained.
- The Morrowind Patch Project modified this fact by enabling various other Daedra capable of dropping it.
