Molag Bal of the House of Troubles is a Tribunal Temple quest available in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.

Objectives[]

  1. Speak with Archcanon Tholer Saryoni.
  2. Head to Bal Ur.
  3. Return to Saryoni.

Walkthrough[]

Once the Nerevarine has returned with the Blessings of the Second Corner from the previous pilgrimage to the Second Corner of the House of Troubles, Archcanon Tholer Saryoni will give them the details of the Third Pilgrimage. This pilgrimage is to visit the Statue of Molag Bal of the House of Troubles, located in Bal Ur. The Nerevarine is instructed to receive the Blessings of the Third Corner from the Statue.

The Third Corner[]

Bal Ur can be found to the north of Suran, on the eastern side of the River Odai. The Nerevarine must take the lower entrance to find the statue where, inside, they will encounter numerous enemies. Once the area has been cleared, the Nerevarine must interact with the Statue to receive the Blessing of the Third Corner: Fortify Speech(5pts for 24 minutes). The Nerevarine will also learn the Command of the Third Corner Spell (Command Humanoid, 5–25pts on touch for 30 seconds) from the Statue.

Once the Nerevarine has obtained the Blessing, they must return to Saryoni to complete this quest.

ID Journal Entry
10 Tholer Saryoni told me that the Third Corner of the House of Troubles is Molag Bal. I must find the statue of Molag Bal in Bal Ur and recite Vivec's "Four Corners." Bal Ur is north of Suran, but I will need to levitate over the mountains to get there easily.
  • Quest accepted
100 I made the Pilgrimage to Bal Ur and read a passage from the Four Corners of the House of Troubles.
  • Quest complete

Trivia[]

  • A second statue of Molag Bal can be found in Yansirramus.
    • The Yansirramus Statue is required for Molag Bal's Quest and cannot be used to begin this one.
    • Likewise, the Bal Ur Statue cannot be used to begin Molag Bal's Quest.
  • As with the other parts of the Pilgrimages of the Four Corners, this quest can be completed before the developers intended (i.e., before all of the other Tribunal Temple quests have been completed).
